Is Ajay Devgan’s ‘Tezz’ A Remake Of ‘Bullet Train’?

Ajay Devgan and Priyadarshan’s combo in Aakrosh may not have set the box-office on fire, to be precise, but that doesn’t mean the two aren’t teaming up again and this time for a film called Tezz. Now before you think that the movie may be a social thriller or a comic venture, let’s hear out the plot of the film.

The action film stars Ajay Devgan, a terrorist who has planted a bomb in a speeding London-Paris train. The bomb is set to explode if the train slows down. The other stars in the movie are Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Sameera Reddy who try to figure out a way to save the day.

Sounds familiar? It’s a straight rip-off of the 1994 Keanu Reeves starrer Speed! Our sources have told us that the moment they saw the script of ‘Tezz’ it was clear that it was generously “inspired” from ‘Speed’! Now before you sing odes of Hollywood’s originality, ‘Speed’, in turn, is a remake of the Japanese crime thriller Shinkansen Daibakuha (1975) which was also known as Super-Express 109 and Bullet Train.

While the Japanese movie had the plot set on a speeding train, ‘Speed’ was on board a bus with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. ‘Tezz’ is going back to the original with a speeding train and is being shot on the Eurostar, a tube that connects London to Paris.

Priyadarshan is known for remaking his own south Indian films and packaging them for Bollywood. Billu, Khatta Meetha and Hera Pheri are just a few examples of his remakes. With blatant copies like Sanjay Dutt starrer Knock Out (a Phone Booth copy), we are really waiting for some film for a change. Sigh…

‘Don 2’ Copied "Prison Break" (American TV Series)

After Ra.One which was copied from many Hollywood Films, now the king of copycats has released Don 2 which is an exact rip off prison break. The movie will contain every aspect of an ideal American movie. Black Mercedes , the American Glock's, prisons and orange jail uniforms same as prison break. Even the dialogues of the films are literally translated into Hindi. Many Scenes are copied Mission Impossible, Ocean Eleven and Die Hard After all the film itself is shot in the United States. The action sequences played by Priyanka Chopra are copied from Uma Thurman (Hollywood Acton Queen). So if you wish to watch something original you can download the episodes of Prison Break itself or watch it on Youtube.

"Chikni Chameli" is not copied, music composers open up

Ask Atul Gogavale how he feels about Chikni Chameli creating waves in the industry even before its official release, and the composer will tell you he’s not surprised.
Having taken over the Marathi film industry by storm with Kombi Palali, the original track that Chikni Chameli is inspired from, Atul and his brother Ajay are a confident team.
“We were sure that the song would do well because it had proven itself in the Marathi sphere. To top it, when we were told that Katrina would feature in it, we knew it would be a success,” says Atul.
When asked why Shreya Ghoshal was chosen over Vaishali Samant, the original singer, he says, “We have worked with Shreya on previous occasions and were confident that her voice would suit the song. Besides it was a production call too.”
Ajay-Atul, as the duo like to call themselves, have also composed super hit Marathi tracks like Jau Dyana Ghari and Apsara Aali.
So what made them choose the Chikni Chameli song? “We didn’t really choose the song. It was the other way round. Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra approached us saying they wanted this song to feature in the film. As a composer, the last thing you want to do is copy and paste music, but when we heard the script, we knew it would fit in.”
Ajay-Atul, whose Marathi composition in Singham caught everybody’s attention, claim that it’s simply a coincidence that both films demanded a Marathi feel.
Talking about their dream projects, Atul adds, “Our dream to work with Amitabhji came true when we worked on Viruddh. As of now, we hope to work with the London Symphony Orchestra,” he signs off.

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, copy of 'What Happens In Vegas'? Watch Teaser

The first look of Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan starrer "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" is out and producer Karan Johar has clarified that his forthcoming romantic comedy has nothing to do with Hollywood movie "What Happens in Vegas".

Slated to release next February, "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" has been directed by newcomer Shakun Batra.

There were reports that the film's story is on the lines of Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher starrer "What Happens in Vegas", but Karan said: "The fact that they get married in Vegas is only an aspect of the movie and not the entire movie

. When you see the film in February, the fact will unveil itself that there is not a single note or point of similarity between the two films. They are totally different movies."

The 39-year-old producer-director, who has not wielded the megaphone since "My Name Is Khan", says he will return to direction with "Student Of The Year", which will be co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.

"Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" first look was unveiled Wednesday and lead pair Kareena-Imran, who are working together for the first time, were also present.

Sharing her experience Kareena said that working with Imran was like a breath of fresh air.

"Imran has brought a lot of freshness and I think the chemistry is pretty sizzling and crackling as you can see in the promos and I actually really really enjoyed working with Imran and he is actually a very very sweet guy. Imran in not funny but very very sweet," the 31-year-old actress said.

A self-confessed Kareena fan, Imran talked about how desperately he wanted to work with her.

"We could only see one person in this role, even though she didn't have the time when we were originally planning the film. We said we would wait for her because we were so sure that only she could do this role.

We felt it is a very performance-oriented role and she would be the best person to bring that one to life," said Imran who was last seen in "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan".
